COMPLIANCE & BACKGROUND CHECKS

Overview

Compliance and background checks are an integral part of keeping all of our participants, coaches, volunteers, and administrators safe. Each year, the Pop Warner national office mandates the required paperwork for all participants as well as the corresponding deadlines. At times, the paperwork and deadlines can be the most challenging part of operating your association. The TCFC’s goal is to make the paperwork and book check process as smooth as possible. If you are new to compliance, the background check procedures document to the right is a great place to start. The document specifies all of the required paperwork and deadlines. IMPORTANT SAFE SPORT REQUIREMENT

As of 2021, in order to be eligible to participate in Pop Warner, each association must have at least 1 board member who is SAFESPORT Certified. Additional information can be found here: SAFESPORT Training.

Each team must have a coach who is CPR certified or P.R.E.P.A.R.E. certified.
