CHEER & DANCE OVERVIEW

Participation in the Pop Warner Spirit Program provides kids an opportunity to perform in an organized, supervised, safety-oriented environment. Pop Warner programs emphasize fun for all and encourage the development of qualities important long after Pop Warner days are gone. The participants in the Pop Warner program are unique as opposed to those of other programs. While they are taught about the values of competition, they are also maintaining their grades at a satisfactory level in order to attain the ultimate prize of being named a Pop Warner National Champion.The Spirit Program is growing in numbers each year due to the popularity of the sport.

COACHING POP WARNER

Are you energetic and enjoy working with kids? Have a passion for cheer and dance? Our Associations always need volunteer coaches.

• Head Coaches must be 21 years old and up

• Assistant Coaches 18 years old and up

• Coach Trainees 17 years old

• Student Demonstrators 15 to 17 years old.

All coaching staff including student demonstrators are required to take both the Southeast Region and YCADA coaches courses. One coach per team also needs to CPR certified.

LOCAL, REGIONAL & NATIONAL CHEER & DANCE COMPETITIONS

Our cheer teams will compete each October at our League event which is held locally. Teams placing 1st and 2nd will advance to the Southeast Region Championship held Thanksgiving weekend in Orlando, FL. Teams placing 1st and 2nd at regionals will advance to the final event, the Pop Warner National Championships held in Orlando, FL.
